How can a person truly know whether they are attending a Bible-believing church if they themselves are not studying the Scriptures? A church may claim to uphold the Bible, but without personal knowledge of God’s Word, you have no foundation to test its teachings, discern truth from error, or recognize when something is added, omitted, or twisted. Personal study of the Bible is what anchors your discernment. Without it, you are left relying on the opinions of others rather than the authority of Scripture itself.
